Tower Bridge Exhibition
Making the five steps visible

previous pagenext page

Tower Bridge receives thousands of visitors every year who come to see the most well-known moving bridge in the world. We were asked to redesign their main exhibition and its signage, making it clear to the visitor that there are five areas of the bridge to be seen (lots of them skip the engine rooms, which is underneath the bridge).

The whole signage scheme was based on a five-step tour, in which each area is numbered and colour-coded into an unmistakable route. Besides the signage of the exhibition itself, every visitor receives an annotated map of the bridge as a reminder of the steps to follow.
