Exmouth Market
Looking on the bright side of life

previous pagenext page

Once a neglected corner of Clerkenwell, London, Exmouth Market has been transformed into the buzzing heart of its community – a lot of it thanks to the effort of Debenham's Property Trust, which owns many of the buildings, and has invested several million pounds refurbishing them.

We were asked to come up with an idea to decorate the hoardings that would be covering the buildings’ facades, and during our first visit we found out that the famous clown Joseph Grimaldi had once lived in one of them.

This gave us the clue for the final design: a logo for the market that makes reference to its name, its history, and, hopefully, makes people smile.
